Syphax Education Center, Room 113 2110 Washington Blvd. Arlington, VA 22204Asta D'Errico
A native born Arlingtonian, Asta first started her career as a pastry chef after graduation from the Art Institute of Washington. The survivor of a pedestrian accident that took place in 2015, she switched careers to work in the pet industry as a sitter. After being awarded a settlement, she was hired to manage the law firm that represented her case. Asta is passionate about advancing women in fields where they are underrepresented. In this spirit, she got her motorcycle license, became a cicerone, and started doing standup comedy. Her introduction to comedy writing and stage preforming came after attending an intensive course with the Coalition theater in Richmond, VA. Following years of open mic nights, she pitched this class so she could share her experiences and continue her comedic adventures. She hopes to provide fellow residents of Arlington with a creative and open outlet to explore their own funny bone.
