Hands-on course. Each student works on one or more projects of their own choosing. Learn to recognize different qualities of furniture. For each project, learn how to identify what needs to be done, create a plan, select the right materials, and then, working together, either restore, conserve, or refinish the piece. Course includes basic furniture repairs, fixing damaged finish, coloring for authenticity, and reapplying finish. Bring one or more projects to the first class! Students will work on multiple projects. As materials vary for each project, instructor will provide supply lists at the first class. Course taught in the Wood Shop.
