Course Description
Go on a whirlwind tour of Provence and the Côte d’Azur, including the best sites, history, art, food, and wine, in this virtual exploration of the South of France through maps, photos, and other visuals. We’ll start off in the port city of Marseille, which has undergone a recent renaissance; then move on to Avignon, once the papal seat, and the magical perched villages of the Luberon; St. Rémy and Arles, filled with Roman history and Van Gogh’s legacy; and, finally, the glitzy Côte d’Azur, the famous French Riviera. You can use this class to plan your next trip, or simply sit back and enjoy a tour of one of the world’s most captivating destinations.
