Prerequisite: Beginners I or equivalent knowledge. This class is a continuation of Beginners I and is designed for students with some knowledge of the language. Course will focus on elements of grammar, building vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension, and reading and writing.
This course is for beginner students without any knowledge of the language. Course includes basic elements of grammar, vocabulary, oral skills, listening comprehension, and small amount of reading and writing. Required text: Basic Spanish ISBN: 10:1260453499

Simon Contreras
Simón R. Contreras is a native Venezuelan. He earned a B.A and a Master in Education from George Washington University. He taught Spanish for 34 years at the high school level, He teaches Spanish at Nova, the University of Maryland and The U. S Senate Page Program. He is the author of a novel (Las Hijas del Mastranto, 2005) and a flamenco and ballroom dancer. He also taught Spanish for Educators to a national audience via satellite.
